Not equipped with fuel tank drain plug. The fuel needs to be siphoned out with a proper tool, the tank removed and cleaned.

From 03/2006 and later there is no longer a drain-plug for the fuel-tank. I checked a 2004 manual and it shows two drain-plugs. I checked a 2006 manual and it shows one drain-plug on the RH side (USDM passenger's side). A new washer must be installed when reinstalling the drain-plug(s).

Is there supposed to be a drain plug in the gas tank? There's some kind of spout off the bottom of it (sorry, don't know the proper lingo). The gas seems to be pouring out of that, as if there should be a plug in it.

"the drain plug on the tank has had something done to it and cannot be removed." The drain plug is the next best thing to free gas in some neighborhoods. I can see why someone may have changed that "feature" on the car. You could just attach a +12 to the fuel pump and have it pump out a 3" hose to a 5 gallon gas can.

Nick, The only thing on the bottom of the carb should be the drain plug and the overflow. That is a drain plug, with an O-ring that seals the bowl. Take a look at the attached image and see if that is what leaks. The part number for that is 13278-02340 and it is readily available. The fuelcock assembly should not be supplying fuel in all positions.
